Lawful basis for using your information
Under UK data protection law, House of Lexden must have a lawful basis for processing your personal information. Depending on the circumstances, I may rely on:
Contract — where the information is necessary to provide services you have requested or to take steps before entering into a contract with you.
Legal obligation — where I am required to retain or process information to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations.
Legitimate interests — where it is reasonably necessary for the operation of House of Lexden, for example responding to enquiries, managing client and supplier relationships, maintaining business records and protecting the business, provided those interests do not override your rights and interests.

Sharing your information
I do not sell or rent your personal information.
Where necessary to provide your interior design services, relevant information may be shared with trusted third parties such as suppliers, curtain makers, cabinetmakers, trades, contractors, delivery companies and other professionals involved in your project.
I may also use third-party businesses that provide services necessary to operate House of Lexden, such as website hosting, email, accounting, cloud storage, payment or other business software providers.
Only information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose will be shared.
Some technology providers may process or store information outside the UK. Where this applies, appropriate safeguards should be used in accordance with applicable data protection law. The ICO requires privacy information to address relevant international transfers.

Personal information may be held electronically and, where necessary, in paper form.
Electronic information may be stored within email, accounting and business software, design software, cloud storage and other systems used to operate House of Lexden and deliver client projects.
Reasonable measures are taken to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure, including password-protected devices and accounts and appropriate physical security for paper records.
How long I keep your information
I retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including where records need to be retained to meet legal, tax, accounting, contractual or insurance requirements.
Different types of information may therefore be retained for different periods.
When information is no longer required, it will be securely deleted or disposed of where reasonably practicable.

You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe option provided in the communication or by contacting House of Lexden.
You will not be added to a marketing mailing list simply because you make an interior design enquiry.

request access to personal information held about you;
-
ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;
