Wivenhoe Townhouse
Living & Dining Room, Hall & Study Wivenhoe, Essex
The brief for this Wivenhoe home was to redesign the living and dining room, hallway and study, bringing more character to the spaces with a relaxed, mid-century modern feel.
Light was a key consideration, particularly at the darker rear of the house. I developed a softer, layered palette, introducing richer colour, texture, new flooring and bespoke joinery to provide much-needed storage.
Lighting was central to the design, combining statement pieces with softer layers of light to create a home that feels calm and atmospheric, but full of personality.
I’m very proud that I’ll be able to show this to people and say, ‘That’s my lounge.’
I still like to sit in different spots and take in the different perspectives of the room. I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of that.
