THE BRIEF

A dark, cramped shower room off the kitchen, completely transformed into a bright, hard-working utility and cloakroom.

THE DESIGN

This was a full reconfiguration. A wall was removed to open up the space and let in light, and the room was stripped back and rebuilt from the ground up, new flooring, lighting, electrics and plumbing throughout. A toilet was retained so the room works as a cloakroom, while bespoke cabinetry was designed to maximise storage and order. Warm brass detailing and handmade-style tiles bring texture and character, with every finish chosen to flow seamlessly from the adjoining kitchen so the two spaces read as one considered scheme.

THE RESULT

The result is a light, calm, beautifully organised room that works as hard as the family does — and looks far better than a utility space has any right to.
